Use the MXR MC406 Buffer to maintain your instrument's tone over long effects chains and cable runs. Impedance mismatches between effects pedals can suck your tone, but the MC406 buffer solves that problem and also gives you 6dB of gain to help make up for any lost volume. And the MC406 Buffer isn't a one-trick pony either - it's got a second unbuffered output to connect to a tuner, amp, or whatever, and it's got a 9VDC power output to conveniently power one of your other pedals. So even if you have a ridiculously long effects chain, your tone will stay intact with the MXR MC406 Buffer.
